iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max combines a surgical-grade stainless steel with a single sheet of matte glass on the back, and the iPhone 11 sports an anodized aluminum and glass design which Apple claims to be “the toughest glass in a smartphone”.
Plus, the water resistance has been upgraded. iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have a splash- and water-resistance IP68 rating (maximum depth of four meters up to 30 minutes), while iPhone 11 has a water-resistant rating of IP68, up to two meters of water for 30 minutes.

All three models have beautiful edge-to-edge displays, so you can’t really go wrong, but there are some key differences.

Apple has ramped up the new iPhone by increasing the battery life of all three new devices.
iPhone 11 gets an additional 1 hour of battery life compared to iPhone XR: Up 12 hours of internet use, 14 hours of video playback and 60 hours of wireless audio playback.
iPhone 11 Pro gets up to 4 hours more battery life than iPhone Xs: Up to 18 hours of video playback, 11 hours of video playback (streamed), 65 hours of wireless audio playback.
iPhone 11 Pro Max gets up to 5 hours more battery life than iPhone Xs Max: Up to 20 hours of video playback hours, 12 hours of video playback (streamed), 80 hours of wireless audio playback.
- FASTEST SMARTPHONE PROCESSOR
Apple announces a new custom built processor, A13 Bionic “the fastest chip ever in a smartphone”, and integrated it into all three new models. Not only is this new processor fast, but also the most power efficient chip Apple has ever made by 40 percent, helping provide up to four extra hours of battery life for the new iPhone 11 and up to five hours for the iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max.
- ULTRA WIDEBAND TECHNOLOGY
Apple is also integrating new technology with the newly designed ultra wideband technology – U1 chip. With U1 and iOS 13, you can point your iPhone toward someone else’s, and the AirDrop will prioritize that device so you can share files faster. “Think GPS at the scale of your living room,” Apple writes. “So if you want to share a file with someone using AirDrop, just point your iPhone at theirs and they’ll be first on the list.”
