Survivor All-Terrain for iPad Air (5th & 4th generation)

The Survivor for 5th Gen iPAD provides excellent protection but is not pleasurable to hold. This is a minor issue but the plastic on the back of the cover is not soft to the touch. The 2nd Gen iPAD Survivor cover had soft rubber corners and sides which I miss. However, the kickstand on the 5th Gen cover is a great improvement in sturdiness.

I have been buying different versions of the Survivor cases for various Apple devices for years. I like the protection that the Survivor All-Terrain case provides. The Survivor All-Terrain for iPad Air (5th & 4th generation) is fairly easy to install on my iPad Air.

I like the screen protector on this case. It seems to have a smooth surface that doesnt keep smudges and fingerprints. If there is a fingerprint or smudge on the screen protector I can easily wipe it away with a clean thumb.

This Survivor case has a holder for the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation. It seems to work quite well. The Apple Pencil charges when it is in the holder. The Apple Pencil is quite secure in this case.

This Survivor case doesnt work with the first generation of the Apple Pencil. If you are going to use an Apple Pencil with the iPad in this Survivor case you must use the second generation of the Apple Pencil.

The camera on the back of the iPad Air is not protected by this case. The camera is exposed to the outside. There is a raised area on the case surrounding the camera area. So if the iPad falls flat onto the sidewalk onto the back of the iPad the camera doesnt make contact with the concrete.

The wake button and the volume buttons on the iPad are covered by the case. It is easy to use the wake button and the volume buttons when the iPad is inside this case. They seem to work quite well with the case.

There is a transparent section on the back of the case. So you can see the back of the iPad.

I am happy with my purchase and if I were to buy another iPad Air (5th generation) I would buy this case again.

Wanted to get a case for my new iPad Air 5 and there werent too many out yet so picked up this one. I have a Survivor case for my iPad Air 1 and its excellent protection with covers for all the ports and camera. This version is a lot slimmer with less rubber protection. The camera is not covered. Love the built in screen protection. 4 stars since I thought this would be more like the older style and not full coverage.

I have just purchased my second Survivor All-Terrain for iPad Air 4. The first one is doing a great job at one years old. So I got a second one for my new iPad Air 4. The grand-kids 3 to 6 years old have got ahold of them and thrown the iPad around at times. No Problems. Their home iPads are in good cases but different brands have not faired so well, at all. That is another reason I returned to Griffin for a new case when I got my new 10,9 iPad Air 4. The Survivor All-Terrain for iPad Air military spec is the other reason I went to the Griffin Case. The only issue is the stand when closed lock, the plastic bit has broken off. The stand still opens, locks open and works, it just wont stay parked, closed. I give this case a ***** 5 star rating. The stand gets a ****4 star. The price seems high here but.on line vender are selling then much cheaper.
