OK so once I figured out what this was and how to use/reuse it (yes it can be washed even on the sticky side!) it is far better than having a whole other piece to put on top. However, being someone who hadn't used a SURVIVOR since iPhone 7, I had a tough time figuring out that the frame was not part of the install. I figured out the cleaning process after dirtying it up with my fingers because I had some other things I use for cleaning lint and I knew you could wash them. Interestingly this comes with other cheaper cases for $17 total, yet the one I bought here was $30+??? Ridiculous price.
The problem with the SURVIVOR case is that it is not heavy duty or rubbery enough and the phone can still easily slip out of your hands..Also the 'liner' is too flimsy and by the time you figure out you have to remove it and use it to install, it breaks.
I want something like the SURVIVOR I had for iPhone 7... thick, rubbery and very secure in my old hands... all our linemen were using them, that is how I found them.
